Creating art with light

Celebrate the spirit of light during your holidays with Paseo’s launch of their virtual youth STEAM education program. Light symbolizes new beginnings, renewal, and growth. Inspired by New Mexico artist, Morgan Barnard, “Creating Art with Light” uses your phone’s camera as an expressive image creation device. Using materials around your home, you are invited to explore interactions of lights and materials to create abstract visual imagery.

STEMarts Curriculum tool is an educational model developed by STEM@Paseo’s Program Director and advisory council member Anges Chavez, which brings Paseo’s experimental artists into Taos schools. This STEMarts curriculum tool is one of many free activities and events being offered to middle and high school students and teachers. Teachers anywhere in the world can use this online tool to integrate into their lessons the exciting new media artists and the science research and STEAM activities related to their work.
